Fiona Oliphant - Women's Worker

Fiona was born in Glasgow and grew up in East Kilbride. She became a Christian in her teens at a horse-riding Scripture Union camp. After training and working as a nurse in Edinburgh, Fiona moved to Melbourne, Australia, to complete further training in intensive care nursing. Her intended stay of 1 year quickly became 19 years as she fell in love with her job as an intensive care nurse, and pursued hobbies like walking her dog, playing the violin and mixed indoor football.

During this time in Melbourne, Fiona particularly enjoyed teaching children with the international bible study “Bible Study Fellowship.” This in-depth bible study sparked a real joy in studying the Scriptures and led to her completing a Masters of Biblical Counselling in the USA.

Moving back to Scotland in 2022 has given Fiona valuable time reconnecting with family and friends and a new passion of studying the Bible through the Cornhill training course. Joining the team in January 2025, Fiona is excited to share her love of people and God’s Word as she seeks to minister to those struggling with addiction.
